The Clarins group at the Positive Economy Forum

The fifth Positive Economy Forum was held in the town of Le Havre from September 13 to 17, 2016. Chaired by Jacques Attali, this forum brings together an increasing number of international players, including economists, heads of NGOs, artists, philosophers, business leaders and socially-minded citizens, who take action for a better world to live in.
Responsible development is a strategic pillar for the Clarins group. It was therefore only natural for Christian Courtin-Clarins, President of the Supervisory Board, to be invited as a socially responsible player to speak on the theme of “How much is nature worth?”.  A visionary and pioneer in terms of responsible development, the Clarins group has been taking action to protect and preserve the environment and biodiversity since the nineties. These initiatives are also rolled out internationally within the group’s subsidiaries.

In parallel to the Positive Economy Forum, Christian Courtin-Clarins also wrote an opinion piece in the scientific magazine Sciences et Avenir. He sets out the group’s commitment to responsible beauty and highlights the work of the National Resources Stewardship Circle (NRSC), of which he is co-founder and chair.
