About the Job
As an Assistant Manager - Human Resources, Asia Pacific, you will play a pivotal role in driving regional HR initiatives, providing strategic HR business partnering to the retail team and ensuring operational excellence across core HR functions. This role combines hands-on execution with advisory responsibilities, contributing to talent strategy, policy alignment, and regional consistency to support business growth and employee engagement
Mission 1 – Strategic Business Partnering
- Partner the local domestic retail team as their HRBP in all people topics by acquiring good understanding of the business/ function needs and objectives and deliver appropriate HR policies and strategy appropriately.
- Partner with Business Leaders to identify, plan and implement talent management and development and retention strategies to achieve key business goals.
- Leverage data and insights (e.g., engagement survey results, attrition trends) to recommend solutions that improve talent retention and organisational health.
- Consult with line management, providing HR advice and guidance when appropriate, including staffing, talent development, performance management, employee relations, etc.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Lead initiatives to harmonise HR practices across markets while respecting local nuances and legal requirements.
- Lead and continuously improve the onboarding process for the frontliners to ensure a seamless and engaging experience for new hires, including induction, orientation and post-onboarding touchpoints.
- Collaborate with Regional HR teams to enhance Clarins’ employer brand through onboarding excellence, internal ambassador programs and consistent employee experience.
Mission 2 - HR Operations & Compliance
- Lead in the accurate and timely execution of payroll, benefits administration and HR documentation in partnership with external vendors and internal stakeholders.
- Maintain current knowledge of HRM practices and relevant legislation; coach employees and managers; recommend improvement initiatives; conduct training as required;
- Review, implement and improve HR policies, SOPs, and systems for operational efficiency and compliance.
- Ensure all HR practices are compliant with local labour laws and aligned with global policies and audit requirements.
- Act as the first point of contact at our HR helpdesk, ASK HR designed to handle employees' queries more efficiently.
- Generate and analyse regular HR reports (e.g., headcount, attrition, cost analysis, hiring metrics) to support business decisions and reportings to global HQ.
Mission 3 - Compensation & Benefits (C&B)
- Serve as a Lead in the annual compensation cycle including budgeting, performance calibration, salary review, bonus allocation and promotion process for frontliners.
- Partner with Associate Director – HR, external consultants and brokers to review and administer employee benefits, insurance renewals, and market benchmarking.
- Lead in the end-to-end benefits processes to ensure smooth delivery and compliance to local regulations.
- Analyse compensation and benefits data, identify competitiveness gaps, and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Lead in benefits benchmarking surveys, analyze survey results and recommend relevant benefits changes to maintain market competitiveness
- Handle adhoc projects assigned from time to time, including but not limited to statutory and other industry surveys
Mission 4 - Employee Relations & Performance Management
- Serve as the primary HR lead for all union-related matters, fostering a constructive and collaborative relationship with union representatives.
- Lead and manage the end-to-end collective agreement (CA) negotiation process, ensuring alignment with business needs, market practices, and legal obligations.
- Represent the company in union discussions, grievance handling, and dispute resolution with the aim of maintaining industrial harmony.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws, industrial relations regulations, and the terms of the CA, while providing guidance to managers on union-related protocols and employee matters.
- Monitor evolving trends in industrial relations and proactively recommend strategies to mitigate risks and support a positive labour-management environment.
Mission 5 - Project Management & Regional Support
- Lead and support cross-market HR projects such as policy harmonisation, system implementation, and process transformation.
- Act as a regional liaison to cascade global HR initiatives and ensure alignment with local market needs.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior HR team members, supporting their development and capacity building.
Mission 6 - Employee Engagement & Culture Building
- Develop and implement initiatives to enhance employee engagement, foster a positive workplace culture, and promote Clarins' values.
- Partner with line managers and country leads to drive internal communications, well-being programs, and cultural integration efforts.
- Lead and support key HR campaigns such as DEI, wellness, and learning engagement initiatives in collaboration with regional teams.
Other responsibilities may be added to the above, which are consistent with the title of Assistant Manager, Human Resources, Asia Pacific.
About you:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence, engage and collaborate across different levels of the organisation.
- Strong facilitation, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Analytical and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects concurrently.
- Agile, adaptable, and resilient in navigating ambiguity and change.
- High degree of autonomy, integrity and a proactive mindset with a strong service orientation toward business partners.
Essential qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Human Resource Management, Business Administration or a related discipline
- Minimum 10 years of HR generalist experience, with demonstrated capability in HR business partnering, talent engagement, employee relations, and operational HR support. Experience in the luxury retail, beauty, or FMCG industry is preferred.
- Proven ability to partner effectively with business leaders and frontline management with a strong grasp of business acumen and organisational dynamics to deliver strategic HR solutions.
- Strong knowledge of Singapore employment legislation and HR regulatory compliance with the ability to interpret and apply legal frameworks to HR practices and policy implementation.
- Hands-on experience managing full-spectrum payroll operations, including vendor management, statutory compliance, and payroll controls. Familiarity with HR systems and process improvement will be advantageous.
- Prior experience managing HR matters for a frontline or retail team is essential including performance management, employee engagement, rostering concerns and operational support.

Payroll & HR Operations Specialist
Le Payroll & HR Operations Specialist est le référent en matière de salaires, d'assurances sociales, plans de pension, impôts, audits et de l'administratif y relatif pour l'ensemble des collaborateurs de Clarins en Suisse (CGI, Factofinance et Clarins SA). Il participe à la gestion de divers projets RH en lien avec la rémunération et les bénéfices sociaux.
Traitement salaires :
- Préparer les variables et autres éléments de salaire pour le prestataire externe (250 collaborateurs/3 entités légales)
- Assurer le suivi avec le prestataire externe tout au long du process.
- Contrôler les variables et éléments salaires saisis 1er run, 2ème run, 3ème run (avec le HRBP).
- Gérer le process post paie (transmission des données aux services comptabilité et contrôle de gestion).
- Assurer les clôtures (mensuelles, trimestrielles et annuelles) et réconciliations des écarts.
- Répondre aux questions des collaborateurs en matière de salaire.
- Contrôler les certificats de salaire annuels et assurer le lien avec le prestataire externe.
Assurances sociales :
- Référent interne pour toutes les questions liées à la sécurité sociale suisse.
- Superviser les interactions avec les caisses de compensation, les assureurs LAA/PGM, l’Office cantonal, les prestataires LPP.
- Assurer l’établissement des différents documents légaux : attestation chômage, allocations maternité et paternité, allocations familiales, AI et détection précoce.
- Assurer le suivi des indemnités maladie, accident, maternité et réconcilier les décomptes avec la comptabilité.
- Suivis des cas accident et maladie sur la plateforme Expertline.
- Répondre aux questions des collaborateurs (assurances, LPP).
- Assurer la gestion des RHT selon besoins.
Onboarding/ Offboarding :
- S’assurer que les collaborateurs entrants/sortants reçoivent toutes les informations importantes et les aiguiller sur les actions administratives à prendre lors d’arrivées/départs (assurances sociales, plan de pension, chômage, etc.).
Gestion du temps :
- Suivre et mettre à jour les absences dans les systèmes et s’assurer du respect du manuel du collaborateur et règlements internes (soldes vacances, heures supplémentaires, travail jours fériés/dimanche, réduction du droit aux vacances etc.).
- Gérer les provisions congés.
- Demander les autorisations de travail spéciales (jours fériés/dimanche).
Reporting et budget:
- Responsable de la production, extraction et structuration des données de coûts salariaux de manière anonymisée, permettant aux équipes Finance de réconcilier les comptes entre paie, comptabilité analytique et budget.
- En charge des prévisions budgétaires RH, incluant les effectifs, augmentations salariales, provisions vacances et autres éléments variables. (Ce rôle implique une maîtrise avancée des flux de données RH, une forte capacitée d’analyse et une compréhension approfondie des logiques financières interconnectées.).
- Produire des rapports divers selon les demandes et besoins (KPIs).
- Répondre aux diverses enquêtes statistiques (OFS, données internes…).
- Gérer les audits (internes et externes), répondre aux questions des auditeurs, regroupement des données et documents, mise à jour des procédures à la suite des recommandations des auditeurs.
- Effectuer des audits internes proactifs pour prévenir les erreurs sur la paie, les cotisations sociales, la gestion des absences, etc.
- Construction de scénarios RH pour la direction : salaires, recrutements, taux d’augmentation, turnover, etc.
Administratif :
- Initier, traiter et assurer le suivi des divers documents administratifs (demandes/renouvellements de permis, etc…).
Légal :
- Suivre les évolutions légales en matière d’assurances sociales, salaires, LPP, droit du travail.
Digitalisation & automatization:
- Développement de macros et outils d’automatisation Excel pour : absences, provisions vacances, contrôles post-paie, analyses budgétaires, égalité salariale, etc.
Salary review:
- Participe à la revue salariale annuelle : Construction de solutions interactives (tableaux dynamiques, simulations, visualisations) pour faciliter l’exercice de revue puis réconciliation finale avec l’enveloppe budgétaire validée.
Gestion de projets:
- Contribuer à tous les projets visant à mettre à jour, optimiser, ou incluant une dimension paye/administration du personnel.
Education/Degree:
- Niveau Bachelor, Certificat et/ou Brevet Fédéral en Ressources Humaines ou diplôme équivalent
Background including total years of experience
- Plus de 5 ans d’expérience confirmée dans l’administration RH, la paie suisse, les assurances sociales et la gestion budgétaire RH.
- Expertise approfondie dans la gestion de la paie multi-entités, le contrôle de gestion sociale.
- Expérience en mobilité internationale, couvrant les aspects fiscaux, sociaux, légaux et administratifs au niveau Suisse.
Technical skills:
- Maîtrise avancée d’Excel (formules complexes, tableaux croisés dynamiques, macros VBA) pour l’automatisation, l’analyse de données RH et la modélisation budgétaire.
- Très à l’aise avec les systèmes RH, notamment SAP SuccessFactors, Workday, Tipee et Trianon.
- Capacité à concevoir des outils interactifs (dashboards, simulateurs) pour la direction.
- Expérience dans la gestion technique de projets SIRH : migration de données, tests, paramétrage, coordination avec le siège et prestataires.
Languages:
- Anglais et/ou allemand un plus

The role:
As Head of HR, you will lead the people agenda and HR strategy in Malaysia, ensuring that our talent, culture, and capabilities fuel business growth and transformation. You will partner closely with the General Manager and regional HR to champion a people-first culture, elevate employee experience, and support our purpose-driven mission across functions.
What you’ll do:
Strategic HR Leadership
- Define and execute the HR strategy aligned with business priorities and Clarins' global HR vision.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, influencing people decisions on organizational design, talent development, and culture.
- Drive workforce planning, succession management, and leadership pipeline development.
Business Partnering & People Development
- Coach and support people managers to build high-performing, engaged, and accountable teams.
- Lead performance and development cycles, embedding a continuous feedback and coaching culture.
- Champion training, learning, and upskilling initiatives across all functions, including retail, back office, and leadership roles.
Talent Acquisition & Employer Branding
- Oversee recruitment strategy and operations to attract top talent for both frontline and corporate roles.
- Collaborate with the APAC talent acquisition team to strengthen employer branding and build future-fit capabilities.
- Monitor and improve time-to-hire, quality of hire, and candidate experience KPIs.
Employee Experience & Engagement
- Cultivate an inclusive, respectful, and purpose-driven workplace culture in line with Clarins values.
- Design and implement employee engagement and well-being programs.
- Lead internal communication, recognition, and change management efforts.
HR Operations & Compliance
- Ensure best-in-class HR operations, including payroll, benefits, mobility, contracts, and policy frameworks.
- Monitor compliance with local labor laws, data privacy, and company standards.
- Champion digital HR transformation initiatives and drive process improvement.
Regional & Global Collaboration
- Partner with APAC and Global HR teams to roll out corporate initiatives such as D&I, sustainability, and leadership programs.
- Contribute to APAC HR forums, share market insights, and lead cross-market HR projects where relevant.
What you have:
- Experience & Education: 10+ years of HR generalist and leadership experience, ideally in the beauty, luxury retail, or FMCG sectors; Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources or related discipline.
- Business Acumen: Ability to translate business challenges into HR solutions; commercial and pragmatic mindset.
- Leadership & Influence: Strong stakeholder engagement skills and experience influencing senior leadership.
- People Development: Track record in coaching, talent management, and shaping high-performance cultures.
- Operational Excellence: Proficiency in local labor regulations, HR systems (e.g., Workday), and scalable HR processes.
- Cultural Sensitivity: Experience working in a multinational, matrixed environment; ability to navigate cross-cultural teams.
