European Commissioner for Environment visits our Pontoise site
Back in March, we had the honor of welcoming Jessika Roswall, European Commissioner for Environment, Water Resilience and a Competitive Circular Economy, to our industrial site in Pontoise (France).
This visit took place alongside key industry representatives, including FEBEA (the French Federation of Beauty Companies), Cosmetics Europe (European trade association representing the cosmetics and personal care industry), and Félix Meysen, Deputy Secretary General of the Val d’Oise Prefecture. It was a valuable opportunity for us to engage in constructive dialogue on the major European regulatory developments shaping the future of our industry.
Our discussions focused on several strategic topics:
- Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR): we discussed the collective efforts required to develop more sustainable packaging solutions aligned with upcoming European requirements.
- Urban Wastewater Directive (UWWD): we explored its implications for our sector and the conditions needed to implement effective wastewater responsibility mechanisms.
- Digitalization: we highlighted the opportunities to enhance consumer information while supporting simplification and sustainability objectives.
- Omnibus VI on Chemicals: we emphasized the importance of a clear and balanced regulatory framework to support the responsible and sustainable use of ingredients, including those of natural origin.
This visit also provided an opportunity to showcase our industrial expertise and innovation capabilities. By opening the doors of our production facilities and R&D laboratories, we illustrated how scientific excellence, operational performance and environmental commitment are embedded in our daily operations.
We are proud to contribute to these important discussions, representing the expertise of the French cosmetics industry while actively supporting the transition towards more sustainable beauty.
