One year into our B Corp journey – Inside our commitment to employees

As part of our ongoing series marking one year of B Corp certification, we spotlight the pillar of Employees. For over 70 years, we have built our success on a simple conviction: our performance is inseparable from the wellbeing of the people who make it possible. This principle, embedded in our culture since our founding, is now formally recognized within our B Corp certification - a rigorous, independent assessment in which nearly 25% of the total score is dedicated to employee experience and HR practices.

To mark this milestone, we continue our video series exploring the five pillars of B Corp certification — Governance, Employees, Community, Environment, and Customers.

This third episode turns to Employees, featuring Karine Chevalier – Vice President of Human Resources North America, who shares how we translate our commitment to employees into concrete, everyday action.

A responsibility across 8,000 employees worldwide

We are close to 8,000 employees globally, 40% based in offices and 60% in the field — from beauty advisors to logistics and manufacturing teams. Ensuring that every one of these employees feels supported, valued and empowered, regardless of role or location, is a responsibility we take seriously at every level of our organization.

Becoming a B Corp has not changed this ambition — it has strengthened it, providing an external framework to validate our long-standing culture of care while pushing us to set clearer, measurable commitments for the future.

We Care for Our People: A global program for every stage of employees’ lives

This ambition is embodied in We Care for Our People (WCFP), our global program that unites our initiatives for employees under a single, structured framework. Our goal: to support every employee at every stage of their life and career, while ensuring a fair and consistent experience across all the countries in which we operate.

Built around four key pillars, WCFP sets out 25 concrete measures we will roll out by 2030, covering:

  • Fair compensation and protection, ensuring every employee receives a package above the local living wage, alongside comprehensive protection and meaningful family support, wherever they are based
  • A respectful and inclusive workplace, guided by our Global DEI Charter, which promotes diversity, equity and inclusion across all our subsidiaries
  • Learning and development, with continued investment in giving employees the opportunity to grow, build new skills, and reach their full potential
  • Purpose and engagement, empowering employees to take action on causes that matter to them through CSR initiatives and volunteering, including one dedicated volunteering day per year

A conviction at the heart of our model

“When we take care of our people, they can truly thrive — and so can the company,” – Karine Chevalier

This conviction is precisely what the B Corp Workers pillar embodies for us: the creation of fair, inclusive workplaces built for long-term wellbeing.
