Clarins Group strengthens commitment to disability inclusion through ILO partnership

At Clarins, we believe that true beauty is rooted in inclusivity, respect, and equal opportunity. We are proud to announce our official partnership with the International Labour Organization (ILO), reinforcing our commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace. Through this collaboration, we join the ILO Global Business and Disability Network (GBDN), a global initiative that brings together multinational companies to promote best practices and drive meaningful changes in disability inclusion.

About the ILO

The International Labour Organization (ILO), a specialized agency of the United Nations, was founded in 1919 to promote social justice and establish fair labor standards worldwide. As the world’s first and largest tripartite organization, the ILO unites governments, employers, and workers from 187 member countries to create equitable and sustainable work environments.

A key initiative of the ILO is the Global Business and Disability Network (GBDN), which helps businesses exchange insights and improve workplace policies for disability inclusion. It supports companies in creating strategies that enable individuals with disabilities to access employment, thrive in their roles, and advance in their careers—fostering a culture of inclusivity and equality.

Clarins’ commitment to the Global Business and Disability Network (GBDN)

As part of our ongoing efforts to champion workplace diversity, Clarins has signed the ILO Global Business and Disability Network Charter. This international commitment ensures that we integrate disability inclusion into our business strategy and create equal opportunities for individuals with disabilities.

The ten principles of the ILO Global Business and Disability Network Charter

Aligned with our Ability Policy, the ILO GBDN Charter outlines ten key principles essential to fostering an inclusive work environment. These principles emphasize:

  • Promoting equal opportunities
  • Eliminating discrimination
  • Improving accessibility
  • Protecting confidentiality
  • Supporting employees with disabilities
  • Fostering collaboration

By embedding these values into our corporate culture, we reaffirm our dedication to building a diverse and equitable workplace where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.

A collective effort

This achievement is the result of the dedication and hard work of our teams, partners, and advocates who are committed to making Clarins a more inclusive workplace. We extend our sincere gratitude to everyone involved in this initiative, as we continue to cultivate an environment where every individual feels valued and empowered.

Looking ahead

At the same time as joining the ILO GBDN, we proudly introduced to our teams worldwide our global Ability Policy—a company-wide framework designed to promote equal opportunities, prevent discrimination, and support employees with disabilities. This policy provides clear guidelines for accessibility, reasonable accommodations, and inclusion initiatives, ensuring that every Clarins employee can thrive.

By launching this policy alongside our ILO commitment, we reaffirm our dedication to creating a workplace where talent and ability define success.
