Clarins Group celebrates women and girls in science

On February 11th, the Clarins group celebrated the International Day of Women and Girls in Science.

In a company where scientific innovation is our driving force and where women represent more than 85% of our teams in France, this day is an opportunity to highlight the women behind the creation of our iconic products.

Science: our expertise since 1954

Driven by a continuous innovation approach, Clarins, within its own laboratories in France, studies each year hundreds of new plant extracts, provided by our ethnobotanist and the company’s globetrotters.

At the heart of the Laboratories are dozens of experts who give life to the products that our customers appreciate. It is also a majority of women scientists, each with an exceptional career path.

Going further: Clarins’ commitment to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

Employees are the no. 1 assets in Clarins’ business model, and also its first representatives. Without minimizing the difficulties that everyone may face, Clarins strives to always do better by placing meaning, listening, and kindness at the heart of its managerial style.

When it comes to subjects like salaries, benefits, training, mobility, parity and equality, we do our best to be exemplary. Listening is at the core of our HR policy and hands-on management style; a policy that promotes performance, kindness and well-being in the work environment. According to our 2020 YourSay internal survey, 97% of our employees support the brand’s values.

To go further and become ever more inclusive, by 2022 the group has trained nearly 100% of its employees in topics related to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.

Also, this year, our ambition is to reach a score of 95/100, at least, on the Gender Equality Index for our French entities.
