Scientific innovation

To combat the slowing down of fibroblast activity and the reduction in collagen synthesis, Clarins Laboratories have combined two powerful active ingredients of plant origin: Clarins-exclusive and patented organic harungana extract and activated red jania extract, a new active ingredient obtained through biotechnology.

In vitro, organic harungana extract activates 88% of retinol receptors** and increases collagen production by a factor of 12, helping to improve dermal density. As powerful as retinol but much gentler, it clinically improves wrinkles, firmness and elasticity.

These major discoveries have been the subject of two scientific publications*.

Activated Red Jania extract doubles the contraction capacity of fibroblasts to restore collagen tension (in vitro test).
