Clarins We Care 2030: Our Commitment to People, Planet, and Purpose

At Clarins, sustainability is part of who we are. We are proud to unveil Clarins We Care 2030, a bold and transparent roadmap driving long-term impact for people, the planet, and future generations.  Launched in 2020, our first We Care program set ambitious goals in organic conversion, decarbonization, and traceability - and in just five years, we’ve made measurable progress. In 2025, we were awarded B Corp certification, recognizing our commitments across governance, environment, community, and employee practices.  And this is only the beginning. Clarins We Care 2030 raises the bar further, moving us toward a regenerative business model that not only minimizes harm but actively creates positive value.

A positive-impact business model

Our 2030 CSR strategy is guided by the principle of positive impact, with three core priorities:

  • Designing with purpose: By 2030, a third of our plants will be cultivated on our own regenerative, organic-certified Domaines Clarins in France.
  • Reducing our footprint: We are on track to cut carbon emissions by 30% across scopes 1, 2, and 3 (vs. 2019) and achieve 100% recyclable packaging.
  • Elevating transparency: Through the Clarins T.R.U.S.T. platform, every product will be fully traceable “from field to skin.”

Caring for people

Our employees are at the heart of everything we do. Through We Care for our People, our HR roadmap features 25 measures across diversity, equity, well-being, and development, including:

  • 100% of employee remuneration exceeds the family living wage benchmark
  • 100% of employees receive annual training
  • A global DEI charter implemented across all Clarins entities

Supporting society

Clarins We Care 2030 extends our purpose beyond our walls:

  • Funding over 3 million school meals annually through our partnership with Mary’s Meals
  • Contributing at least €3 million per year to initiatives in health, childhood, and biodiversity
  • Expanding 23 fair trade supply chains, supporting communities in low-HDI regions worldwide

Acting for the planet

We are pioneering a regenerative vision for the cosmetics industry. Through our second agricultural estate, Domaine Clarins Sainte-Colombe, we reinforce our commitment to biodiversity and sustainable sourcing, with ambitious targets:

  • Zero deforestation across all sourcing
  • 100% industrial water recycled and reused
  • 150 tonnes of plastic saved through trial-size tubes and refillable products. Today, one quarter of our sales are made with refillable formats, marking a significant step toward reducing environmental impact.

A shared journey toward 2030

Clarins We Care 2030 is more than a plan, it is a collective commitment. Together with our employees, partners, and communities, we are shaping a future that is sustainable, inclusive, and regenerative.
