Celebrating commitment: The 2025 Prix Clarins pour l’Enfance
A reimagined prize for lasting impact
To mark the Group’s 70th anniversary, the Clarins Prize for Children evolved in 2024 to embrace a more sustainable approach. Rather than awarding new organizations each year, Clarins chose to refocus on its 14 partner associations, inviting them annually to propose new projects that address the essential needs of children: well-being, health, education, and overall development.
This renewed approach is expressed through two annual awards:
- The Clarins First Prize – €35,000, awarded by a jury of experts and committed personalities.
- The Coup de Cœur Prize – €15,000, chosen by Clarins employees in France through a collective vote.
These grants complement the ongoing annual financial support Clarins provides to all partner associations, reinforcing long-term engagement.
A new ambassador: Ophélie Meunier
For the 2025 edition, Clarins welcomed a new ambassador: Ophélie Meunier.
Journalist, host of Zone Interdite (M6), and a young mother deeply attuned to child protection issues, she joined the Prize with sincerity and conviction.
“I am honored to become the Ambassador of the 2025 Clarins Prize for Children. I am deeply committed to supporting the associations that work every day for the most vulnerable children, and to contributing—at my level—to ensuring that they can grow up in a safe and hopeful environment.”
Ophélie Meunier joined Marie Robert, philosopher and author, as part of the jury for the First Prize, bringing together experience, insight, and a shared dedication to children’s welfare.
2025 Laureates: two projects bringing hope
Clarins First Prize 2025 – €35,000
“Afghan Children: Breaking the Cycle of Vulnerability” – La Chaîne de l’Espoir (Clarins Prize 2002)
Selected by a dedicated jury chaired by Virginie Courtin, Olivier Courtin, Nicolas Prieur, Guillaume Lascourrèges, alongside ambassadors Ophélie Meunier and Marie Robert, this project addresses an urgent need: facilitating access to specialized medical and surgical care for the most vulnerable Afghan children.
In a complex political context, humanitarian aid has weakened, with severe consequences for women and children. Thanks to the Clarins Prize:
- 30 children will receive comprehensive medical support (treatment, transport, accommodation, and psychosocial follow-up).
- 40 awareness sessions on hygiene, nutrition, and women’s health will be organized for local families.
This prize strengthens a 23-year partnership between Clarins and La Chaîne de l’Espoir, demonstrating the power of enduring collaboration.
Prix Coup de Cœur 2025 – €15,000
“À Chacun son Everest!” – Association founded by Dr. Christine Janin (Clarins Prize 1997)
Awarded by Clarins employees in France, this prize carries special significance: it marks the final participation of Christine Janin, founder of the association and the first “Woman of Heart” of the Clarins Prize in 1997, before her retirement.
The project will fund a full summer stay in Chamonix in 2026 for 15 children with cancer or leukemia. Through mountain sports, yoga, cani-hiking, climbing, support groups, and moments of sharing, these stays aim to help children rebuild confidence, overcome challenges, reconnect with life, and progress on their path to healing.
This deeply human and therapeutic initiative is made possible thanks to a 28-year partnership between Clarins and the association.
A commitment anchored in time
With 11 new projects submitted this year, the Prix Clarins pour l’Enfance showcases the creativity and dedication of our partner associations. By rewarding these two inspiring initiatives, Clarins reaffirms its ambition:to give every child the opportunity to grow up in a safe, caring, and hopeful environment.
