Clarins Group Celebrates International Women’s Day

On Saturday, March 8th, we celebrate International Women’s Rights Day—a moment to reflect on the progress made and the challenges that remain in achieving true and lasting gender equality.

At Clarins, gender equality has been a core value since our founding. Our commitment to women extends beyond our teams to the communities we serve, shaping our corporate culture and guiding our actions. Today, we are proud to highlight the tangible progress we’ve made in fostering a workplace where women thrive.

Key figures: measuring to drive change

Our dedication to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) is reflected in the facts:

  • 94/100 on the Gender Equality Index.
  • 86% of our employees are women, with 62% of leadership positions held by women.
  • 85% of women at Clarins feel free to be themselves, without fear of judgment (Internal engagement survey, 2023).

“Saying that our employees are our first ambassadors is not a cliché—we prioritize their personal and professional development. With 86% of our workforce and 62% of our top leadership being women, the future of Clarins is built on empowering the women who drive our success.”
— Virginie Courtin, Managing Director

Empowering women: Our key actions

For us, gender equality is more than a goal—it’s a lived reality. Through impactful initiatives, we ensure that our commitment translates into meaningful change:

  • Prix Clarins pour l’Enfance (Clarins Award for Children’s Rights) – Since 1997, this award has supported women-led projects that bring lasting change to vulnerable children.
  • Supporting ‘La Maison des Femmes’ – Through myBlend, we help empower women on their journey to independence.
  • Internal Awareness Campaigns – We actively foster a respectful and inclusive work environment through regular communications and diversity training. Since 2022, 100% of our employees have been trained in diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Our commitment recognized

Clarins’ long-standing efforts toward gender equality continue to be recognized worldwide. We are honored to be named among the best in the following categories:

  • Top Companies for Women & World’s Best Employers (Forbes, 2024)
  • Great Place to Work (Clarins USA)
  • Extraordinary Employer Award (Clarins China)

As we mark this important day, we reaffirm our commitment to driving progress, shaping a more inclusive workplace, and empowering women—at Clarins and beyond. Because at Clarins, gender equality isn’t just a milestone. It’s our way forward.
