Launch planning and counter changeovers:

  • Collaborate closely with Marketing team to ensure understanding and timely execution of the marketing calendar, new launches and events / promotions, inclusive of in store statuses, pop-ups and masterclass events.
  • Implement brand campaign and merchandising directives outlined by Clarins Global & Regional Divisions. Adapt locally where applicable.
  • Prepare merchandising guidelines (including transparency updates, signage and planograms) for all campaigns as well as new counter openings for ANZ – for internal use, and where required for communication to the retailers.
  • Plan the visual on counter execution by Store Tier in a Merchandising Calendar and communicate to the Sales Team for implementation.
  • Responsible for developing all locally produced merchandising items (such as testerstands, makeup units, icons trays and all VM tools updates for existing bars, makeup units, gondolas, wallbays etc)
  • Maintain & update the database of in-store pictures of all floor plans for all Brands (Counters, Back Wall, Gondolas, Wall Bays…)
  • Provide direction to Supply Chain and Sales & Marketing Teams on logistic arrangements for receipt of POPs keeping in mind timeliness of counter changeovers.


Large-scale brand events and special trade projects:

  • Collaborate with Marketing team to develop engaging and impactful brand event activations with a complete 360 launch approach.
  • Conceptualize with Local suppliers to develop highly qualitative POPs and/or fixtures, and increasingly incorporating digital engagements in-store.
  • Responsible for Suppliers and installers briefing and follow-up paying close attention to quality of build and delivery timing.
  • Occasional ad-hoc project management (e.g. PR launches & Seminars).


VM Education

  • Share and monitor the visual standards of all stores and beauty rooms, and educate the ANZ Sales and Brand Teams on VM principles and best-practices.


VM Forecast

  • Forecast all VM needs for new launches / store openings by liaising with Marketing Team, Supply Chain and Regional Teams for input.


Collaboration with Store Planning Project Manager:

  • Provide input on all soft merchandising items to the Store Planning Project Manager on all counter / boutique new opening, renovations and retrofits, to achieve best design combining brand guidelines with commercial objectives.
  • Ensure all new counters openings / renovations are equipped on time with all VM needs.
  • Perform regular in-store visits to maintain a high level of quality build.


Budget and Cost Management

  • In Collaboration with the Marketing Team but at the responsibility of the VM Manager, build and track Merchandising A&P Budget for ANZ through thorough planning and control – and for review by Brand Director.
  • Raise all corresponding POs for management approval.
